This is possibly the funniest story behind a shot of ours. We'd spent a few days away in the West Country, near Cheddar. We spotted this resevoir on the map so decided to find it and go for a walk around it. We drove for nearly an hour down tiny country lanes, getting lost, but eventually found a boggy patch of water about 30 metres square. We both just sat there in disbelief that we'd spent so long driving for this tiny patch of marshland and couldn't believe that it was even marked on the map. Then I turned and looked to my right and laughed out loud. This was the view! Julia was still looking at the boggy pit shaking her head and I just calmly said, "Erm, I think you should look this way!". It was a priceless moment.
